Zumba

Last night I went for a zumba class at the gym. I’ve been wanting to try that for a very long time now. I tried a few times at home, with Kinect – but looking at an animated twitchy figure on tv shouting the same encouraging phrases over and over again and trying to move on a big rough carpet just didn’t do it for me. I normally go horseback riding on Tuesdays so I was quite disappointed when I found out iForm only holds Zumba on Tuesdays. But this week and the week after Easter I won’t be going to the stables on Tuesdays so it wasn’t a difficult decision on what do instead!

I quickly had do admit that although I’ve been trying to keep active I am terribly unfit right now. I can see it and I can feel it. But I followed really well in all the moves and gave it my all. And with all the hip shaking, arm waving and butt kicking I could soon see this formation in the mirror, how my body slowly turned into this slim, toned, tanned figure.

Or not.

I almost died during warm up. But it was so. Much. Fun.
