I could hardly believe it when these awesome gifts came in the mail a while back – with one note each, one in Swedish for me and one in English for Brian. It was all sent – and made by – my childhood friend Eva and she wrote to Brian saying she knows he’s having a hard time coping with the Swedish winters and that this would at least keep him warm through his last winter here for a while. It was so spot-on how we feel and such a sweet thing to do it almost made me cry.
And then, when I saw Eva at the beginning of December, she gave me something which I think was originally meant for Christmas. This trivet she made during a ceramics course this autumn. Isn’t she talented!? I think it’s gorgeous and it also means so much that she shows her support for our project with these gifts.
